male-aligned or female-aligned

These terms “male-aligned” or “female-aligned” are used because they allow for more representation of identities. A reader provided a great example, that not everyone who is female aligned has matching parts. Trans women can be female aligned whether or not they’ve had surgery, and folks who have female parts may be male-aligned or non-binary. This helps in the mission of avoiding assumptions of gender and sex.  Another example is a person that is a non-binary lesbian, might not identify as a woman but I would say she is female aligned due to her sex.
