We have our good weeks, and we have our bad weeks. That is totally acceptable and expected. Negative thoughts can be rampant. They can bring down your motivation, mood and self-confidence.<\/p><p>Firstly, It&rsquo;s important in these times to <strong>recognize and accept these thoughts as they come.&nbsp;<\/strong>Our natural tendency may be to ignore these thoughts and push through, or try to process them later. In those moments, these are the steps I follow:&nbsp;<\/p><p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">Stop everything- Anything you are working on, it can wait. It will be more productive if you work through it in that moment, and your mental health is so important. Again, if you try to ignore, the emotions will come back even stronger.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-96b8e52 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"96b8e52\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-7d33b55\" data-id=\"7d33b55\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-167ffff elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"167ffff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Change my environment- (go outside, take a walk around the office, sit in my car). Most of the time, this is all it takes! That transition often helps me get out of a tough moment without the next steps.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e3fce11 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e3fce11\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b4f4388\" data-id=\"b4f4388\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-da17f91 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"da17f91\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Seek support and\/or physical touch- I struggle with initiating this step on my own, but one time a coworker came in during a moment of high panic for me, and her words and hugs really helped me de-escalate in the moment I was spiraling.&nbsp;<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-b216a14 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b216a14\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-452fdae\" data-id=\"452fdae\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46ac036 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"46ac036\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Meditate- Sometimes I just close my door, turn of the lights and meditate. The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.calm.com\/\">CALM<\/a>&nbsp;app has amazing meditations for all kinds of moments, and some are even just 5 minutes or less. You can pick your topic and even your length of time. Oftentimes this has really helped me even at my worst moments.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-bdbfa9a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"bdbfa9a\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-89c213d\" data-id=\"89c213d\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1246d44 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1246d44\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Call someone- If I&rsquo;m really struggling, sometimes I will call someone to just distract myself and get some support from someone who knows me well.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-534f65c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"534f65c\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-78c66b9\" data-id=\"78c66b9\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e646c79 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e646c79\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Leaving Work<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-627141f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"627141f\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ec0f553\" data-id=\"ec0f553\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5cb679a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5cb679a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Take the day- If possible, and nothing else has worked, take the rest of the day off, or try to lighten your schedule. The way work is set up in the USA, I don&rsquo;t know if this is always an option, but it should be!
